High Grade Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt Critical Overview

By Brian Garvin

The first time we started looking for some sort of Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt, the goal was to figure out the best product for the job. Our church was holding a fundraiser tournament for one of the families, and all proceeds were going to help them in their struggles. It was a great way for everyone to come together, but there were several obstacles along the way.

It's always nice to hold an event such as this one because there are various charities willing to help out. Our situation consisted of needing as many poker tables as we could get our hands on. Eventually through several discussions and a little barter and trading, we were able to get ten poker tables. They were old and rugged, so it meant we had to do a little work on them. Everyone had a job from scraping, rebuilding, painting, by our was to do a little shopping. My job was to find some inexpensive Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt.

This may sound like an easy task, but in all actuality it was quite difficult. It would have been nice to just go out and buy something, but we're on a budget, so I could go crazy. Instead, I spent hours upon hours trying to find the best option for us. Needless to say I had to take a couple deep breaths here and there.

However, thanks to a bunch of coffee, red bull, and the will to search for 18 hours straight, I finally came across the Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt I was looking for all along. There was this place online that could supply with all the felt I needed to make it happen. Even though I made the purchase based on several reasons (color, durability, authentic betting lines), it was the cost that caught my eye.

Probably the most important thing is that we were transforming some of the folding tables as well. Most of the padded tops were either worn or had tears in them, and we definitely didn't want the fundraiser to look like a washed up garage sale. So we wanted to put felt on these as well, even though most of the places I came across didn't do anything to help.

However, the Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt was set up with a 36 x 72 inch cut, which allowed us to staple these onto the folding tables without it looking cheap. Granted we had a carpenter that knew how to do it professionally, so the end result was definitely a positive one. Honestly, it looked as though we purchased brand new tables when it was all said and done.

In the end, we were able to purchase a foreclosed home for the family, get them health insurance, and have enough left over for food that would last the entire year. They definitely went through some tough times, and it was very gratifying to help. Thank goodness we were able to take advantage of the Texas Holdem Poker Table Felt place we found these at online.

Lighting a Cigar with a Zippo

By Dave Sabot

Some cigar smokers enjoy nothing more than getting out on the water, in the woods or to the campground and lighting up their favorite brand of cigar. Being outside, there are no concerns about the aroma and one is free to puff to their heart's content. Of course, lighting a cigar is a particularly intricate affair and doing it incorrectly can ruin a fine smoking session. There are several ways in which one may overcome this though some of them carry some concerns about influencing the taste of the cigar in a negative way.

Lighter fluid burns with a distinctive smell. It has an oily consistency which makes it highly-prized for its being able to burn in even very windy conditions. Lighter fluid has a taste which is detectable by some individuals and not at all detectable by others. Different fluids are said to affect this characteristic, as well. Whether or not this is true is entirely up to the individual to decide. Some cigar smokers would not for a minute consider giving up their prized Zippo; others would hesitate to light a fine cigar with anything other than a wooden match or a cedar strip.

The reason Zippos remain popular for outdoor use is that they are an inherently windproof lighter. The lighter fluid used to fuel them is slow to evaporate and is thick enough that it will stick to the wick and ignite even in very windy conditions. This makes them popular with sailors and fishermen.

There are new butane lighters on the market which rival Zippos where wind resistance is concerned, however, and these may be a less-objectionable option for those who find the taste of lighter fluid something which they cannot tolerate. These windproof butane torches are available from higher-end tobacconists and lighter shops.

Cigars are a very personal thing. If one wishes to use their Zippo then, by all means, they should do so. While some smokers may wince at the sight, a cigar is meant to be enjoyed in a way that offers the best experience possible and, given some people's attachment to their Zippos, there is no reason that they should feel that using those lighters is out of bounds when enjoying a fine cigar.

Ladies and Mens Oakley Sunglasses " Why are they so popular?

By Carrie Westengate

Many people have heard about Oakley sunglasses for men and women but may be unsure why they are so popular, practically reaching cult status. This brief article aims to explain who Oakley are, how their sunglasses are made and give an idea of the range that is available.

Oakley founded their business in 1975 and produced sunglasses from a couple of years after that. From their humble beginnings in the USA, they have now become a popular brand worldwide, developing exclusive styles of sunglasses for men and women not only for the obvious, but they also produce specialist designs and ranges especially for sports use. Oakley have developed and grown by blending science and art to produce some outstanding designs that also incorporate their technologically sound High Definition Optics system.

High Definition Optics improves the quality of vision for the wearer by greatly reducing visual distortion. Oakley sunglasses for men and women have optimised polarisation exceeding 99% with coatings being moulded to the lens at the molecular level. (For more information on the technology Oakley uses visit their website.)

Oakley sunglasses come in a variety of ranges divided into active, polarised, lifestyle, special and limited editions. For example, the lifestyle range includes the Gascan range (from around 80) and these have High Definition Optics and Plutonite lenses giving 100% protection against all UV rays and provide excellent impact protection. Some ranges are coated with the Oakley HYDROPHOBIC coating that is designed to repel rain, sweat, skin oils and dust.

The Oakley range of men and womens sunglasses are certainly not cheap, but with their maximised peripheral vision and clarity, the High Definition Optics system is something pilots often insist on. An example of the polarised range of Oakley sunglasses are the Crosshair Ti. These are shielded with the Oakley Hydrophobic coating and you should be able to pick these up online for around 145 (RRP around 190).

Genuine Oakley glasses (and other products including snow goggles) carry the distinctive O which you should look for to ensure they are not cheap replicas. Although one would not recommend sitting on them often, they are hard-wearing and will keep their looks for a long time making them a good investment against non-branded mass produced High Street store men and womens sunglasses.

Breakout Fading Explained (Part I)

By Ahmad Hassam

Fading breakouts refers to trading against breakouts. When we believe that breakouts from support and resistance levels to be false and unsustainable we fade breakouts. Suppose you believe that the currency prices will not be able to follow through action in the direction of the breakout. You trade in the opposite direction of the breakout.

False breakouts are a bane for breakout traders but boon for breakout faders. False breakouts are also known as fakeouts. Fading breakouts tends to be more effective as a short term strategy. Fading breakout is not meant to be a long term strategy.

Support level attracts the buyers enthusiasm for higher bids. It prevents the price from falling further. The resistance level attracts the sellers enthusiasm for shorting and it prevents the price action from advancing higher. Support and resistance are seen as the price floor and the price ceiling respectively.

The crowd likes to trade the breakout. The idea of trading breakouts appeals to many independent traders especially those new to currency trading. It is perfectly logical for the crowd to think that if the support level is penetrated, then the price action should move downward. The crowd is more likely to sell than to buy.

The opposite is true of a price break above the resistance level and the crowd usually concludes that if the resistance is broken, then the prices are more likely to advance higher in the rally. Hence, the crowd is more likely to buy than to sell when the price action breaks the resistance level from below.

You will find clusters of stop loss orders placed by traders who have brought near the support level or have sold near the resistance level. Now you can also understand why there tends to be large number of entry stop orders placed just above a resistance level and also placed just below a support level.

When the currency prices crosses below the support level, long positions will be stopped out. Similarly, short positions will be stopped out when the price action breaks out above the resistance level.

You will ask why most breakouts fail? The fact that smart traders need to take the money from the novice and inexperience traders is one of the most important reasons why most breakouts fail. Always remember, it does not always pay to have the same mentality as the crowd. The majority will cash out of the trading game broke.

The crowd holds the dumb money with the weak hands. Smart money belongs to the big players who have a couple of tricks to sabotage the crowd. Money has to be made from the majority. Not from the minority who got it right.

It causes vertical rallies or declines when the crowd scrambles to get out of their losing positions. Most money is made when the crowd turns out to be wrong. Read Part II for more on Breakout Fading.

The Adoringly Fluffy Gun Dog: The American Cocker Spaniel

By Meredith Blake

The American Cocker Spaniel is a medium sized breed of gun dog that developed from the same family as the English Cocker Spaniel. This breed originated from England and originally hunted woodcock and this is where the name cocker was derived. During the 1940s, the cocker was introduced and developed in the US and this new breed was named the American Cocker Spaniel.

In its native country the US, it is simply called the Cocker Spaniel. In other parts of the world such as Canada and Europe, it is called the American Cocker Spaniel. Before, this dog flourished as a gun dog but today it is more known as a lovable family pet.

Spaniels that came to England were actually brought in from Spain and then later on developed to become good hunters. In the early days, a Spaniel's litter was composed of a cocker spaniel and a Springer spaniel and these two were only segregated in to types when they grew up. But with the help of the English Setter, a different breed for the Cocker Spaniel has been developed.

To know the difference of an American Cocker Spaniel from an English Cocker Spaniel, the size of the former is relatively smaller than the latter. The American version also has a long and low set coat while the English one has a shorter coat. The head of the American Cocker Spaniel is dome-like and the ears are floppy while the English variety has a rectangular head and shorter ears.

The standard height of the American Cocker Spaniel is 15 inches and any dog taller than this is considered disqualified for shows. The weight should be 25 to 35 pounds but the males can be a bit heavier. The average life span is up to 12 years while the English Cocker Spaniel is 13 years.

As a pet and as a dog show competitor, the luscious fur of this breed should be carefully groomed and maintained. The coat should be soft, smooth, long, flat and double coated. There are four categories that the coat colors of this breed fall under and these are: Black, ASCOB (Any Solid Color Other than Black), Tricolor, and Parti Color.

As a gun dog, the American Cocker Spaniel is known to be brave, hard worker, and respectful of the master's authority. As a family pet, this dog is very sociable, amiable, and sweet. It is known to be gentle, devoted, trusting and sensitive.

The American Cocker Spaniel is an energetic dog that needs daily exercise in order to maintain being healthy. Grooming this dog requires daily brushing and shampooing as its coat is long, dense and sheds averagely. Regular nail clipping, coat trimming and eyes cleaning are also necessary.
