Toronto Raptors Progress Report

By Jackson LaRoche

Every week, when the NBA season starts, I will be publishing something that I refer to as a "Raptors Report", reflecting on how the Raptors have thus far done and what's going on with the team. Presently, I am about to do an offseason update.

The Raptors have wholly rebuilt their team only retaining the foremost of the franchise in Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, and obviously, Chris Bosh. With key additions like Hedo Turkoglu and Jarrett Jack, the Raptors |have now shaped a lineup for brilliance, but cynics seem to believe otherwise.

The foremost dilemma with the team in past seasons has been their rebounding and toughness. Chris Bosh has gained some strength in the summer, Bargnani is only getting better, and brand new signings Antoine Wright, Jarrett Jack, and Reggie Evans ought to help the team some more.

Offense shouldn't be any type of a dilemma this season with Chris Bosh and Hedo Turkoglu heading up the cause These prolific scorers should help keep the team in games. Look for the team to be a high powered offensive team.

The intangible this season is actually Jose Calderon, because when Calderon is in good shape, the franchise is running a lot improved. Yes, we did attain Jarrett Jack, who's in his own respect a great backup, although in order to do well, we will need Jose young.

With Andrea Bargnani improving, Chris Bosh playing in his contract year, with all the brand new additions, and with a young squad, the Raps must compete in the East. But this, only time will speak.

In other stories, Jason Quick is reporting that Portland rookie Jeff Pendergraph will be experiencing hip surgery this Wednesday. This does not mean that the franchise won't sign him to a contract, although he will most likely be out for the majority of the year. Bummer of a start for the previous Sun Devil.

Keep an eye out for further daily updates, incredibly a bunch regarding the Raptors.
